On FOX's NASCAR prerace show Sunday, DALE EARNHARDT JR. was informed that he'd won the title of NASCAR's "SEXIEST" driver, which was based on a FOX online poll drawing 17 million votes. Said Earnhardt, "I want to thank my mom, who probably voted half a million times."
MIKE LUPICA, on ESPN's THE SPORTS REPORTERS on Sunday, found something familiar about MICHELLE WIE, 15, the third-round co-leader of the U.S. WOMEN's OPEN before finishing tied for 23rd. Said Lupica -- "She sounds like every girl who calls my house wanting to talk to THE LUPICA BOYS."
MAX KELLERMAN, in his HBO debut Saturday night, didn't overdo the hype. Before FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR.'s sixth-round TKO win against ARTURO GATTI, Kellerman said it was the "biggest pay-per-view mismatch" since LENNOX LEWIS' eighth-round TKO of MIKE TYSON in 2002.
THE NFL NETWORK introduces in August seven NO HUDDLE SHOWS that will whip viewers to live look-ins at up to nine exhibition games being played simultaneously. Talk about summer fun!
