Now the flood gates are open.
A day after TIME WARNER said it would begin releasing VOD movies day-in-date with DVDs, APPLE says it has convinced FOX, DISNEY, WARNER BROTHERS, PARAMOUNT, UNIVERSAL, LIONSGATE, IMAGE ENTERTAINMENT and FIRST LOOK to make movies available for purchase or rental on ITUNES the day they come out on DVD.
You won't save much going digital -- new releases are priced at $15 to buy or $4 to rent -- but buying online is a far greener way to go.
It will be interesting to see if APPLE TV devices finally start selling.
