ESPN Senior VP/Programming Planning And Development
DAVID BERSON said the net this summer will launch COLLEGE FOOTBALL LIVE, a 30-minute weekday series that begins July 23rd and runs through bowl season, according to MICHAEL McCARTHY of THE USA TODAY.
The show, modeled after ESPN's NFL LIVE and "hosted mostly by" RECE DAVIS, will feature breaking news, features and analysis.
Davis will be joined by a "rotating mix of ESPN's college football talent."
The show will air at 3:30 pm ET on ESPN; when MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL starts, the Monday edition will move to
2 pm on ESPN2.
Berson said, "College football fans want more content.
This has been a long time coming. It's a natural extension for us. We expect it to become a staple of our programming, like NFL LIVE and BASEBALL TONIGHT."
