THE TAO OF BACKUP

(From The Avid|DS Google User's Group)

A novice wanted to learn the TAO OF BACKUP.

The master said, "To become enlightened, you must master the seven heads of Backup. He who knows the heads will keep all his data forever. He who knows them will not lose all his data," and with that, the lessons began...

Anyone considering a backup/archiving strategy should first become one with THE TAO OF BACKUP.

The Tao Of Backup

[I'd also add one of my favorite rules -- a corollary to
MURPHY'S LAW. If you only have one backup it will fail when you need it (corrupted, whatever). If you have two backups, they will both be good.]
