THE ACADEMY OF MOTION PICTURE ARTS AND SCIENCES
has signed ELLEN DEGENERES to host the 79th ANNUAL
ACADEMY AWARDS ceremony, which will air on ABC,
Sunday, February 25th, live from LA's KODAK THEATRE.
This isn't just Ellen's first time hosting the OSCARS, it will also mark her first time attending the event.
That said, award shows aren't new to DeGeneres -- she was the host of THE PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS in 1994 and again in 2001.
