QUESTION
What is the dumbest error message you have ever encountered?
ANSWERS
01. "An item needs your attention -- click here to see what to do." (So I click.) "Your virus definitions need updating -- click here to fix the problem." (So I click.) "You have a problem that needs attention."
02. "The application ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS2 has unexpectedly quit. Would you like to submit a bug report to APPLE?"
[Man I love Macs!]
03. You know how you go to render and the window predicts how much time it will take? One time we were working on an early AVID MEDIA COMPOSER and went to do a render and the window popped up and said, "About a month." No kidding!
That's actually what it said!
04. "This project is busy right now. Please try later."
05. One time while playing a music CD in the computer's CD player when the disk reached the end of the music tracks it started loading up an interactive game also on the CD. Both Avid screen displays went blank. The following meesage then appeared, "You have lost the keys to Murdoch's Winnebago. How do you wish to proceed?" We were completely freaked out until we discovered it (along with the ominous drone of audio) was coming from the CD in the drive.
[Right, Shaggy?]

This was one of the funniest moments in my edit career!
It should be known that Gordon Fenwick finally discovered the error.
