Singer NICK LACHEY has joined ESPN's COLLEGE GAMEDAY. He sang MICHIGAN's FIGHT SONG Saturday, then AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL on Sunday with wife JESSICA SIMPSON before the
CHICAGO BEARS/WASHINGTON REDSKINS GAME.
He's on his way to being famous for being famous.
After winning THE U.S. OPEN WOMEN'S SINGLES TITLE, KIM CLIJSTERS was about to be interviewed on-court by DICK ENBERG when she asked if she could "hold the microphone" and make it a monologue. Enberg agreed but asked, "Can I hold you?"
[Whoa, there Dick!]
Eventually, big-time athletes might simply take the TV mikes and dispense with questions.
