In a refreshing gender-role switcheroo, singer PINK proposed to her boyfriend of nearly four years -- motocross racer CAREY HART -- during a race in MAMMOTH LAKES, CALIFORNIA, US WEEKLY reported.

The 25-year-old, whose real name is ALECIA MOORE, reportedly wrote 'Will you marry me' on a pit board, which Hart saw while he was racing.

Hart will appear on the fifth season of the reality show THE SURREAL LIFE, which has its premiere Sunday.

In another refreshing gender-role switcheroo, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star NICOLETTE SHERIDAN tells THE INTERNET MOVIE DATABASE how she impressed fiance NIKLAS SODERBLOM during their first meeting, when she saved him from being attacked by a great white shark.

The actress was admiring Soderblom, then a stranger, surfing when she saw the shark's fin behind her future love. She raced toward the shark and punched its face.

"I was doing my daily three-mile swim and I saw this fin and I swam as fast as I could," she said.
