ESPN Executive VP/Marketing LEE ANN DALY is leaving the company to spend more time with her two young children. She will continue to work as a consultant for ESPN.
Daly was not available for an interview, but her departure was announced via a company-wide memo and confirmed by a spokesperson.
Daly reported directly to ESPN/ABC SPORTS President GEORGE BODENHEIMER, but with her leaving, the marketing department will be reorganized and now fall under the direction of ESPN Executive VP/Programming And Production MARK SHAPIRO.
A replacement for Daly is being sought, with both internal and external candidates being considered, a source said.
