(From The USA Today -- By Michael Hiestand)
Baseball managers are increasingly willing to do TV interviews during games. Now they can move on to them as auditions for future TV jobs.
During Saturday's BOSTON RED SOX/PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES game on FOX, JOE BUCK asked Boston manager TERRY FRANCONA, an ex-manager in Philadelphia, if he was wearing a jacket on a steamy day to cover up his jersey in hopes of escaping booing by fans.
Francona responded that, on the contrary, he had on a jersey that would send a message to fans -- "I stitched YOU SUCK on the back of my jersey today just to be on the safe side." Impressively, Francona still isn't using cue cards.
