* This was the first "green" Grammys. The food served was organic, invitations were printed on recycled paper, water was bottled in biobased containers, artists were transported in 60 hybrid cars and 100 Flex-Fuel SUVs, wind was powering Staples Center, and the men's urinals were waterless.
* 1,064 nominees vied for trophies.
* The show required 450 microphones, 620 audio lines, 19 cameras (plus outdoors for the FOO FIGHTERS' performance), nine audio mixers, 60 audio technicians and a television production crew of 1,500.
