Governor JON BON?

(From The Jersey Side -- By John Shabe)

THE POST PAGE SIX today says JON BON JOVI might run for governor of New Jersey.

Jon lives in Manhattan, but keeps his place in Red Bank with an eye toward future office here in Jersey.

We received an email about this here at NJ.COM WORLD HEADQUARTERS.

Here's TOP 10 REASONS WHY BON JOVI SHOULD BE GOVERNOR.

10. TICO TORRES could drumbeat a full day's work out of anyone.

09. He could rewrite his song lyrics to serenade some of our former governors -- "You Give Jersey A Bad Name."

08. He's already got the entourage.

07. We haven't had anyone with groovy hair like his since GOVERNOR LIVINGSTON.

06. Trenton's incentive -- free tickets to arena football.

05. His limo driver obeys the speed limit and insists that his passengers always wear their seatbelts.

04. Just imagine the rockin' town meetings!

03. Hallelujah! Finally our lack of a state song dilemma is solved!

02. A new kind of inauguration -- C'mon over to the mansion...Party!

01. Hey, nothin's gettin' done anyway!

I always love how attention starved celebrities always think they know how to run political entities.

I agree. An adulated rock star probably doesn't deal with the "middle-class" realities that we face every day, very well.
People need to start realizing that the answer to "bad government" isn't "more government."
