Ace journalist ARMEN KETEYIAN will join CBS NEWS as chief investigative correspondent, the network announced yesterday. He starts March 6th.
Keteyian, formerly a reporter for both BRYANT GUMBEL'S
HBO REAL SPORTS and CBS SPORTS for eight years, will head a new unit that includes at least five producers, he says.
"I took a long, hard look at leaving Real Sports," he says.
"To lead this unit for a network like CBS is the pinnacle of the profession. It's a big landscape and a big new challenge."
Keteyian had no trouble being released from his new three-year contract with CBS Sports. SEAN McMANUS runs both the sports and news divisions.
