Newly Remodeled Studio A At THE PARK SCHOOL

Check out the newly remodeled STUDIO A Control Room
(also known as THE JESSICA SAVITCH BROADCAST STUDIO) at Ithaca College's ROY H. PARK SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATIONS.

Wide shot of the new control room.

Closeup of the new counter top on the old console with a new KAYAK SWITCHER.
[Sweet! And tiny!]

New back bench console added for producers and a graphics work area. It houses a CHYRON DUET, APRISA SSX, ENPS, TelePrompTer and all respective keyboards and monitors.

The ENPS station has a second IFB control, program monitor and intercom, so it effectively is the producers area.

The Chyron station has a monitor for what is on it's output.

Summer 2006, they'll buy a second KAYAK SWITCHER for STUDIO B and duplicate this setup.

Summer 2007, Don plans on chopping off the monitor area of the main consoles to add two large plasma displays with MIP's for monitoring (if they approve the funding).
[Hint, hint -- alumni give to the school.]

Now, that should look very cool!

Don Ryan, thanks for the photos and the post.
