(From The USA Today -- By Michael Hiestand)
CBS NFL game analyst BRENT JONES, who was scheduled to work Sunday's Houston Texans/Cincinnati Bengals game, resigned last Thursday.
Jones, 42, played 12 NFL seasons and was in his sixth season at CBS.
LOU OPPENHEIM, Jones' representative, says Jones "chose to leave" in order to "spend more time with his family and business ventures on the West Coast." Says CBS' LESLIEANNE WADE, "We'll miss him."
RICH GANNON probably didn't. The rookie CBS game analyst was supposed to be in a three-man booth -- with STEVE TASKER and DON CRIQUI -- on the Buffalo Bills/New Orleans Saints game Sunday. With Tasker moving to Houston/Cincinnati to replace Jones, Gannon didn't have to share time with another analyst.
Rich, this is no time to pick wrong TV pancake makeup.
