MNF Ratings Continue Downward Trend

ABC's MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL (MNF) earned a 10.3/14 final Nielsen rating for Packers/Panthers this week, down 8.2% from an 11.2/17 for the comparable Chiefs/Ravens game last year.

Through four weeks, MNF is averaging an 11.0/19, down 9.8% from a 12.2/21 in 2004.

ABC finished No. 1 in adults 18-34 for the night, earning a 6.0/16 and 15.6 million viewers. But CBS "squeaked by ABC in total viewers" for the night, drawing an average of 13.78 million.

ESPN's primetime telecast Sunday of 49ers/Cardinals from Mexico City was the most-seen cable program of the week with 7.7 million viewers, followed by ESPN's NFL PRIMETIME with 4.3 million viewers.
