The New 3G IPHONE Unveiled

STEVE JOBS didn't disappoint the faithful, unveiling the 3G IPHONE at the Apple developer's conference keynote, promising a July 11 simultaneous launch in 22 countries.

Yes, it will start at $199 for the 8 GB model in the U.S. -- one third of what the original iPhone sold for.

Yes, it will sport of a bunch of new applications -- games, blog tools, MLB baseball apps -- that take advantage of its newfound speed and GPS capability.

Developers from companies such as EBAY and THE ASSOCIATED PRESS took turns demoing what they are working on.

Business users stand to gain much from the new IPHONE 2.0 software release, including integration with MICROSOFT OFFICE and IWORK and the ability to save emailed images to your photo library.

Oh, and it's coming out in white as well as black.

No word yet on what AT&T will charge for 3G data services.
