BLUE SKY Ahead

(From The Hartford Courant -- By Mark Peters)

The digital animation studio that created the movies ICE AGE and ROBOTS and will soon release DR. SEUSS' HORTON HEARS A WHO! is relocating to Fairfield County.

BLUE SKY STUDIOS INC. is moving its headquarters and 300 employees about 12 miles, from White Plains, in New York state's Westchester County, to Greenwich, after an extensive search in the New York metropolitan area.

The studio said the decision was driven by Connecticut's generous movie and television industry tax credits.

"We very much look forward to coming to Connecticut," said BRIAN KEANE, Chief Financial And Operating Officer for BLUE SKY. "The state has taken the lead to create the necessary economic environment to make itself attractive to businesses like ours."
