Quality Control Of "Textless" Masters

(From The Avid Yahoo User's Group)

I once had a textless master kicked back because there was "text displayed throughout."

We looked and looked, and finally had to get a clarification from the networks QUALITY CONTROL (QC) DEPARTMENT.

The operator was flagging text like stop signs, storefronts and billboards in the shots.

Another tech rejected a second textless master for "Text Out Of Safe Title."

We looked, and in the show there was a shot of an airport departures board outside of safe title.

For some people, entry level is too high of a starting point.
