As expected, PAULA ZAHN is leaving CNN at the end of her current contract which expires on August 2nd.
The final episode of PAULA ZAHN NOW will air on Thursday, August 2nd, and thereafter the time period will be hosted by a variety of news anchor fill-ins until CAMPBELL BROWN's show launches in November.
Brown then takes a maternity leave starting in December, but expects to be back on the job in early February.
This year, PAULA ZAHN NOW has averaged 558,000 viewers, less than 25% of the viewership of THE O'REILLY FACTOR on FOX NEWS, and approx 100,000 viewers less than MSNBC's COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN.
