Olympic gold medalist swimmer AMANDA BEARD calls posing in the July issue of PLAYBOY her latest "outside adventure."

Beard, aiming for her fourth Olympics, is shown topless on the magazine's cover.

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I really felt excited and motivated to do it," she told THE ASSOCIATED PRESS.

"I'm kind of used to people not necessarily agreeing with everything that I do, and that's totally fine."
