(From Cynopsis)
HEARST-ARGYLE cut a deal to distribute news, weather and other local programming clips on YOUTUBE.
It is the first time the video sharing site has dealt for local TV video, with an agreement to split ad revenue sold against the content.
Five stations have launched their own channels -- WCVB, WMUR, WTAE, WBAL and KCRA, with more to follow.
Stations gain a new platform, increased searchability for their video and as YouTube videos are embeddable, a launchpad to blogs everywhere.
