Baby On Board Complicates CAMPBELL's Jump To CNN

(From The New York Post)

TODAY show weekend anchor CAMPBELL BROWN -- who last week appeared to be on her way to CNN -- has hit a bump. A baby bump.

The attractive anchorwoman told TODAY viewers yesterday that she and her husband, former Republican political aide DAN SENOR, are expecting a baby.

Brown, 39, did not specify exactly when she was due.

The pregnancy complicates what has become an extended courtship dance between her and CNN, which has made no secret of its desire to sign her for a prime-time news show -- likely replacing PAULA ZAHN.

Brown, whose NBC deal ends later this year, was said to be disappointed when she did not get the KATIE COURIC spot when Couric jumped to CBS.

Ironically, NBC brass were reportedly concerned last year that Brown was not a mother and that young moms had come to expect that from the show's host.

Brown told viewers that she was suffering periodically from morning sickness and anxious to learn the baby's sex.

"I want to go shopping now," she said.
