(From The USA Today)
DISNEY'S announcement that it will permit same-sex couples to participate in its "Fairy Tale" wedding service surprised some Disney-philes.
But not JEFFREY EPSTEIN and EDDIE SHAPIRO.
As authors of the irreverent and informative QUEENS IN THE KINGDOM: THE ULTIMATE GAY AND LESBIAN GUIDE TO THE DISNEY THEME PARKS (Avalon Travel Publishing, $17.95, out in May), the duo had lauded Disney's "inclusiveness" even before the policy change.
Epstein, entertainment editor at US WEEKLY, and Shapiro, a former director of AIDS WALKS in New York and L.A., say they've been to the parks, oh, about 784,012 times, give or take a few, and wrote the book to support their habit.
They give USA TODAY's JAYNE CLARK an insider's tour.
