TENNIS CHANNEL And ESPN Enter Into Partnership

(From Cynopsis)

THE TENNIS CHANNEL and ESPN have formed a multi-year, multi-media programming and marketing partnership surrounding GRAND SLAM TOURNAMENT coverage.

For the first time, ESPN and THE TENNIS CHANNEL will share coverage of THE FRENCH OPEN, with both networks receiving a portion of the live and delayed telecasts and new media coverage.

The Tennis Channel previously acquired the U.S. broadcast and new media rights to the French Open last summer from
THE FRENCH TENNIS FEDERATION.

Starting January 2008, both networks will also share coverage of THE AUSTRALIAN OPEN.

Because of this new arrangement, both THE FRENCH OPEN and AUSTRALIAN OPEN events will receive nearly 24/7 exposure on U.S. television through 2011.

ESPN2 will continue to televise more than 300 hours of Grand Slam tournament action each year from THE FRENCH OPEN, THE AUSTRALIAN OPEN and THE CHAMPIONSHIPS AT WIMBLEDON.
