THE OUTDOOR LIFE NETWORK, founded in 1995, officially has been renamed VERSUS.
MARC FEIN, Senior Vice President for VERSUS, says the idea is to "reposition ourselves as a sports and competition network."
Also considered were SPORTS COUNTRY, VICTORY TV, NETWORK OF CHAMPIONS and GO -- which would work if it were spelled GO!!!
Fein says "most people get" VERSUS, which will air prime-time bull riding and shark fishing.
"VERSUS means competition as its best, even if it's man vs beast."
