VERSUS will debut the "sizzling" new competitive show BARBEQUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES on October 22nd
at 10 pm.
Filmed at THE BEST OF THE WEST NUGGET RIB COOK-OFF
at NUGGET CASINO RESORT in Reno from August 30th to September 4th, the show features six top BBQ chefs, six challengers and six amateurs all hoping to win the $75,000 cash grand prize.
Hosted by PAT PARNELL and TAVA SMILEY, viewers will watch the eighteen cooks battle it out in opening rounds over six episodes and then six will remain for the semifinals rounds.
Before the Grand Champion can be awarded the prize, however, they must be approved by the judges including former NBA player DARRYL DAWKINS, actress MEGYN PRICE and celebrity chef/restaurateur MICHEL RICHARD.
The series is a co-creation of CHRIS LILLY and JOHN MARKUS.
