Now Vending At Indy Int'l -- Electronics, Batteries

(From The USA Today -- By Gene Sloan)

Need headphones for your next flight? A snazzy new vending machine unveiled at Indianapolis Airport has them, along with digital cameras, batteries, memory sticks, MP3 players, CDs, DVDs and all manner of other entertainment gizmos.

Dubbed SONY ACCESS, it's the brainchild of electronics maker SONY, which is experimenting with new ways to sell its goods.

It's also heading to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in September in a test that will continue through 2007 (don't worry about not having enough quarters for pricier items; the machine takes only credit and debit cards).

"If the test is successful, we'll continue rolling out more in othe venues, which may include grocers, more airports, malls and hotels," says Sony's CHAVONNE JONES.
