The Linear Thinking Mind

(From The Avid Yahoo User's Group)

No one is able to get into multiple states of mind simultaneously.

Don't confuse the fantasy of human "multi tasking" with attention deficit disorder.

The average feeble human consciousness (not necessarily the total nervous system) cannot handle more than three variables at one without a pencil in hand, and it takes years of practice for an organist to exceed this with four or five moving lines.
[There's my musical background coming out.]

The human consciousness is a feeble design of LINEAR THINKING.

Non-linear editing crafted to penetrate a linear mind is the only effective way to get the most bang for the buck.

Editing techniques that call attention to themselves have already failed by virtue of their visibility.

The MTV generation is simply on a dead-end course hell-bent for unfocused ineptitude.

Already college teachers are struggling with students that can't digest complex thoughts by virtue of their impatience for the next "cut" to another thought, and current trends in media are making it worse.
