LESLEY VISSER from CBS SPORTS, whose three decades of sports media work include being the first woman given a role on ABC's MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL, was named Thursday as the first woman to be recognized by the PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME.
Visser is the 2006 recipient of the Hall's PETE ROZELLE RADIO/TELEVISION AWARD.
Said Visser, "This came out of the blue."
