CHRISTINA Goes BACK TO BASICS

Paying tribute to the music that inspired her, CHRISTINA AGUILERA's double CD, BACK TO BASICS, is a wildly inventive modern take on vintage jazz, soul and blues from the 1920s, '30s and '40s.

The album's throwback style is gritty and raw, featuring production by LINDA PERRY and DJ PREMIER.

"This is a concept album that follows a bold, set vision,"
says Christina.

"The touchstones are BILLIE HOLIDAY, OTIS REDDING, ETTA JAMES and ELLA FITZGERALD -- what I used to call my 'fun music' when I was a little girl."

BACK TO BASICS is set for release August 15th.
