NATIONAL MOBILE TELEVISION (NMT) Expands Its Fleet With Two Mobile Units From CORE DIGITAL

(From Sports Television Production Magazine)

NATIONAL MOBILE TELEVISION (NMT) recently acquired two digital mobile units formely operated by CORE DIGITAL, the former JUDGE ROY and DOC HOLIDAY, are now DX17 and DX18 respectively. Each of these two 53 foot digital expandos add to NMT’s growing fleet, and serve to increase regional and national capacity.

DX17 has 10 IKEGAMI 388 CAMERAS, a GRASS VALLEY KALYPSO VIDEO SWITCHER and a 120 input CALREC Q2 AUDIO DESK. DX18 has 10 IKEGAMI 388 CAMERAS, a GRASS VALLEY 4000 VIDEO SWITCHER and a 48 input SOUNDCRAFT AUDIO DESK. NMT will provide upgrades to both trucks, increasing their capabilities and ensuring they meet the NMT standard of operation.

Already, both trucks have a busy schedule ahead of them. DX17 has been slated for use on ESPN's GREAT OUTDOOR GAMES. DX18 will continue to serve THE PHOENIX MARKET as it has under CORE DIGITAL, with the existing engineering and technical support remaining in place. Overall, nine former CORE DIGITAL EMPLOYEES will join NMT to help keep a continuity of service and support that existing clients have come to understand.

NMT's CEO, MARK HOWORTH, said that the acquisition will have an immediate impact on client service, adding "NMT continues to grow its fleet, and these two new DX trucks help fill an important need. More importantly, we welcome a great group of new teammates to the NMT family."

NMT continues to expand their fleet even further with another HD truck and two side-by-side units planned later this year, built by VENUE SERVICES GROUP.
