RTNDA Announces Winners Of EDWARD R. MURROW AWARDS

THE RADIO/TELEVISION NEWS DIRECTORS ASSOCIATION announces the winners of the national 2005 EDWARD R. MURROW AWARDS.

In the television network category, NBC NEWS won four awards, CBS NEWS won two, and ABC NEWS won one, for WORLD NEWS TONIGHT WITH PETER JENNINGS. CBS RADIO NEWS took home five awards, and ABC NEWS RADIO took three.

Networks winning one award each are NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO (Investigative Reporting), CTV (Spot News Coverage), ESPN (Feature Reporting), MTV NEWS (News Documentary) and CNN (Writing).

In all, 54 news organizations won 72 awards out of an initial pool of 3,390 entries from 546 news organizations.
