For its U.S. OPEN GOLF COVERAGE Thursday and Friday, ESPN has new touches, including live video of the 9th and 15th holes on ESPN CLASSIC and ESPN.COM, live online video from the practice range on its ESPN 360 BROADBAND SERVICE and taped video highlights for cell phones -- a prelude to ESPN's upcoming branded cell phones.
Says ESPN's BODENHEIMER-- "It's not inconceivable that we'll have a specific (on-air) talent for cell phones. We're looking for the next CHRIS BERMAN to make his or her mark by phone."
