Comedian DAVE CHAPPELLE, 31, who fled to South Africa on a "spiritual retreat" last month without notice, resurfaced last week in Los Angeles, where he performed unannounced at two comedy clubs.
Chappelle told surprised clubgoers that he had just landed in L.A. and felt like performing. His publicist says there is no update on the status of the third season of COMEDY CENTRAL's CHAPPELLE'S SHOW, which was postponed indefinitely after Chappelle took his leave.
