NBC’s KENTUCKY DERBY Overnight Down A Tick From A Year Ago

NBC earned an 8.2/19 overnight NIELSEN RATING for its coverage of the KENTUCKY DERBY Saturday, down 1.2% from an 8.3/18 last year. Saturday’s race marked the fourth-highest overnight for a Derby broadcast since 1992.

NBC, which took over broadcasting the race from ABC in 2001, drew 8.3 overnights in 2001, 2003 and 2004. The race segment Saturday from 5:45-6:45 pm ET drew a 10.0/23, down 1% from last year’s 10.1/22.
