Makes You Want To La, La -- Where Do We Sign?

(From The Hartford Courant -- By Pat Seremet)

A petition to try and persuade ASHLEE SIMPSON's record company to stop her singing live ever again has been launched. Already more than 65,000 people have added their names to it.

The petition at www.stopashlee.com was set up earlier this year after the 20-year-old star sang at the Orange Bowl halftime show in Miami and was booed by 72,000 fans.

The petition, set up by New Yorker BETHANY DECKER, addressed to GEFFEN RECORDS and JT ENTERTAINMENT, her father's management company, reads, "We, the undersigned, are disgusted with Ashlee Simpson's horrible singing and hereby ask her to stop. She cannot match the sound of her voice that can be found on her CDs when she sings live. She simply yells the words (and sometimes the wrong ones) into the mic."
