GREY'S ANATOMY -- Episode 8 -- Save Me

This past Sunday's GREY'S ANATOMY was superbly written! I think it was the best written episode yet! The different plots and the show's overall theme were cohesively woven and crafted together. Great writing and great editing DO make a for a well-oiled show.

With only one episode left this season, you have to tune in next Sunday to find out what's going to happen! Just as Meredith and Derek grow more intimate, a bombshell is dropped?!? The last 5 minutes are shaping up to be very, very exciting.

At least whatever happens, we know GREY'S ANATOMY will be back again for a full season next year on ABC.

In other GREY'S star sightings on TV this week -- did anyone catch KATHERINE HEIGL (Izzie Stevens) on ABC's THE VIEW on Monday? Katherine was filling in as a guest co-host for THE VIEW's ELIZABETH HASSELBACK who is out on materinty leave. She did a fantastic job! Both KATHERINE AND ELLEN POMPEO (along with SANDRA OH) make GREY'S easy on the eyes for us guys. Ok, ladies here is where I throw in a line about PATRICK DEMPSEY for you. No wonder, both sexes have a thing for GREY'S. Hmm...and next week's final episode is ALL about -- sex! (Oh, that is a great segue -- more great writing.)

As for this week, here are Meredith's ponderings from EPISODE 8 of GREY'S ANATOMY. More words that definitely speak to us I thought you'd enjoy.

Keep the faith! It has to get better soon.

GREY'S OPENING NARRATION
You know how when you were a little kid and you believed in fairy tales? That fantasy of what your life would be -- white dress, Prince Charming who'd carry you away to castle on a hill. You'd lie in bed at night and close your eyes, and you had complete and utter faith. Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, Prince Charming -- they were so close, you could taste them. But eventually you grow up. One day you open your eyes, and the fairy tale disappears. Most people turn to the things and people they can trust. But the thing is, it's hard to let go of that fairy tale entirely. Because almost everyone still has that smallest bit of hope -- of faith -- that one day they'll open their eyes and it will all come true.

GREY'S ENDING NARRATION
At the end of the day, faith is a funny thing. It turns up when you don't really expect it. It's like one day you realize that the fairy tale may be slightly different than you dreamed. The castle -- well, it may not be a castle. And it's not so important that it's happy ever after...just that it's happy right now. See, once in a while -- once in a blue moon -- people will surprise you. And once in while...people may even take your breath away.
