ERIKA JO HERIGES, an 18-year-old high school student, became the first female to win USA NETWORK's NASHVILLE STAR show, besting two male finalists Tuesday night. She is the youngest contestant to ever compete on NASHVILLE STAR.

More than 10 million viewers voted during the season finale of the show's third season.

Erika Jo, of Mount Juliet, won a 2005 CHEVY SILVERADO truck, an appearance on the GRAND OLE OPRY and a recording contract with UNIVERSAL SOUTH RECORDS.

The other finalists were JASON MEADOWS, 33, who grew up on a farm in Oklahoma, and JODY EVAN, 28, a police officer in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

Jo's debut album is set to be released June 14.

She's already featured on the NASHVILLE STAR 2005 FINALISTS album.

NASHVILLE STAR combines country music with reality television by placing contestants in a wired house on Music Row as they compete for a recording contract. Cameras capture their daily interaction and weekly live performances, which are judged by USA NETWORK viewers and industry professionals.
