(From Sports Business Daily)
ESPN has green lighted THE CODE BREAKERS an ESPN ORIGINAL ENTERTAINMENT (EOE) movie about the 1951 WEST POINT cheating scandal that "triggered the expulsion of 83 Army cadets, including most of the football team," according to DEMPSEY AND ADALIAN of DAILY VARIETY.
SCOTT GLENN will star as Army football coach RED BLAIK. The film will "highlight the anguish between Blaik and his son, a cadet caught up in the cheating scandal and dismissed" from the Academy.
THE CODE BREAKERS will premiere simultaneously on ESPN and ESPNU on December 10th, becoming only the second EOE film to debut on two networks. A SEASON ON THE BRINK premiered March 10th, 2002, on ESPN and ESPN2.
This is the sixth EOE movie.
