VERSUS pulled a 0.76 preliminary NIELSEN RATING for THE NHL ALL-STAR GAME in Atlanta, up from a 0.54 last year, and while there will be no game in 2010 because of THE WINTER OLYMPICS, one report says the event "could take a permanent hiatus" after that.
Anonymous league execs are saying things like the players are "bored with the whole thing," and some writers are calling on the league to scrap the event entirely.
[Did anyone know the NHL All-Star Game was even played this past weekend other than O'Leary?]
