Next year, ESPN will start its fourth hi-def channel, ESPNU HD on August 28th, 2008 in time for the college football season kick-off.
ESPNU HD has plans to air more than 200 hi-def events the first year including live coverage of college football, basketball, lacrosse, baseball, softball, volleyball, wrestling, hockey among other sports.
Encore presentations of ESPN HD, ESPN2 HD and ABC HD college sports events will also air on the new network.
