THE TONIGHT SHOW Non-Writing Staffers To Be Laid Off

(From Cynopsis)

NBC announced to its non-writing staff of THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO that it will be laid off at the end of this week, because the show itself has shut down since the writers strike, according to BROADCASTING AND CABLE.

Since JAY LENO is refusing to cross the picket line, the show may return November 19th with guest hosts, so the nonwriter jobs can be salvaged.

A similar announcement was made by NBC to staff at LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O'BRIEN.
