(From Cynopsis)
CBS is establishing a Wi-Fi zone in midtown Manhattan to enable laptops, cell phones and mobile devices access the internet for free.
THE CBS MOBILE ZONE is already partly operational but should reach more than 20 city blocks by the end of the month, from Times Square to Central Park South and from 6th Avenue to 8th Avenue.
The network is powered by transmitters on CBS OUTDOOR billboards and MTA-owned panels installed above subway station entrances, courtesy of CBS INTERACTIVE and CBS OUTDOOR.
