It's An IT World

I will be useless in the next decade.

I'm too old (and too stupid) to become an IT person, and there is no question in my mind that within the next decade, the days of "wiring up a facility" is going to become the next generation of FireWire (or whatever it will be called -- but one cable), along with the next generation of Ethernet (like 10 Gig Ethernet) -- which will turn "video facilities" into IT environments.

The days of patch bays, audio and video cabling, etc. will be over in less than 10 years.

The world moves on.
