ESPN's OTL To Move From Late Night To Afternoons

(From Sports Business Daily)

ESPN will move OUTSIDE THE LINES (OTL) from late nights to 3:30 pm ET weekdays starting July 24th, according to DAVID BARRON of THE HOUSTON CHRONICLE.

ESPN Senior Vice President and Director of News VINCE DORIA said that the show will become ESPN's "first live news show of the day, kicking off the afternoon programming block."

"We hope it will be a table setter for the day. We've been trying to build the afternoon block," Doria said.

Doria added that the show's content, along with hosts BOB LEY and JEREMY SCHAAP, will remain the same, though it will be expanded to a 30-minute format.

"Some shows will be based on overnight developments, and some will be based on developing stories," Doria said.
