NBC NEWS Offers Interviews, Docs On ITUNES

(From MediaWeek -- By Mike Shields)

While the direct sale of TV programs through APPLE's ITUNES MUSIC STORE has mostly centered on allowing fans to buy up episodes of their favorite prime time hits, NBC is now targeting news junkies looking to bolster their video collections through the Web platform.

NBC NEWS has released a wide range of news video content for sale through the online store, including rare Presidential interviews from the last five decades and historic documentaries covering subjects such as the impact of HURRICANE KATRINA and the life of PRESIDENT REAGAN.

The new programming, which comes from NBC NEWS, MSNBC and CNBC, is being sold at the standard $1.99 per episode rate.
