Ever think of a SONY BVE-9100 as a non-linear editor?
Well, imagine this situation at THE WINTER OLYMPICS in Torino.
The output for the finished projects was still tape (just like AVID). However, playback was from 22 channels of EVS and
6 channels of MAV controlled by a SONY 9100.
The system is non-linear in the fact there was no tape shuttling to be done, but linear in the fact there was no rendering to be done.
Now that's a speedy system.
