(From The Associated Press)
A Tokyo zoo practiced capturing an escaped animal by having zookeepers chase around a man dressed in a gorilla suit on Tuesday.
Tourists and visitors watched as the fake gorilla pretended to escape from an enclosure and run around the park.
Officials quickly moved in, pretending to shoot the costumed gorilla with tranquilizers before taking him back to his cage.
Then, a snake got loose. A stuffed snake on the end of a metal rod, that is.
Workers practiced what they would do if it were a real snake, using nets to corner it before placing it back in its cage.
This isn't the first time the zoo has practiced with costumed animals. It has conducted similar drills with a man dressed like a lion and another dressed like a polar bear.
