I love to listen to music in the edit bay when I'm working, and I actually find it helps keep the mood of the session creative and collaborative.
Usually, I bring along my trusty IPOD loaded with thousands of tunes from all sorts of genres.
But what happens when I forget my IPOD?
That's when I turn to PANDORA to create my own radio station and stream music for free.
Here is a link to my personal radio station called ALTERNATIVE MIX on the internet.
Alternative Mix On Pandora
ALTERNATIVE MIX is loaded with great music to listen to when you are working. I have chosen a selection of great artists and songs that I hope you will like.
It plays via FLASH on PANDORA, a music listening and discovery service.
You can use Pandora to create your own radio station and stream music for free.
[I think this is a bad idea, unless you're listening to the actual music that will be used in the piece or you are just slopping some piece of corporate trash together that doesn't need pacing.
Leave the iPod at home. Never edit to music dissimilar to your score.]
[I run music all the time in the edit bay, some producers find it distracting, but most like it. For me its like MUZAK in there, but it's not. I've noticed it drives the PRO-TOOLS guy crazy to have music playing in the background while we are working on his mix. But he gets even by playing video unrelated to the sequence he is scoring.]

It's super cool to hear examples off how people are listening to pandora out in the real world. Thanks for stopping by to listen; hope you forget your iPod often :-)
